A harrowing event involving a popular skater was whipped into a social media frenzy. Scooter fans from across the UK and beyond became united in their well-wishes for a respected friend. They’ve been riding for him, sharing updates about him and creating video edits devoted to him. It’s filled up social media streams and been tagged on skateparks. Everyone wanted to get involved, in whatever way they could.

So, a couple of weeks ago, I bought a pair or Rio Roller Fierce skates. The choice was pretty superficial, I’ll be honest. They’re candy-coloured with leopard print, and I’m a cybergoth. Go figure. Anyway, I’d been eyeing up these quad skates for a while, but couldn’t really justify it (I can’t rollerskate, not even when bribed with PopTarts), but I had the opportunity to visit Mo’Club Southampton’s 18+ roller disco, and I kinda thought this could be a perfect match.

Worst. Interview. Ever.

So, I hooked up with Liam Eyles and Billy Atkins last week whilst we were all in Germany at ISPO. Figured I'd interview them both for the Skates.co.uk Youtube page. The following video is an example of what can (and did) go wrong when trying to film.



This is easily the worst / best interview I've ever attempted to record. It was 10 minutes long but seeing as not one question was successfully answered, I figured I'd just upload the outtakes...
