Our aim is for Aurora 2.0 to be an industry-leading platform. As such, it will be constantly developed, updated and thoroughly tested on an ongoing basis.

Aurora 2.0 will be continually updated in line with our own ideas and our client’s suggestions. We run a client forum asking for suggestions for updates and new features and we’re never short of ideas ourselves.

Updates will range from small back end tweaks and improvements to some pretty significant functional updates, such as our promotions module, or the ability to integrate with a 3rd party system, for example.

Back end updates will be implemented daily or weekly on a test environment, and billed for monthly when they go live. System code optimisation, bug testing and fixing on the test environment is perpetual.

There’s lots in the pipeline, and we’ll update the feature list every month.

Select, under new ownership, came to Lost Ferret after having seen other work we’d done in the fashion sector.

The plan for Select was to ramp up both its high street and online presence. Online, this meant an eye-catching, highly usable front end with comprehensive navigation and filtering, and a fast, uncomplicated checkout process. Ease of back end use was high on the list, and an integration with their Prologic system to handle stock and sales data was scoped and implemented.

The new site launched in early February 2010, with Lost Ferret providing a complete dedicated hosting solution with full support.

We were delighted when we started speaking with Moss Bros because it was a brand we all knew and liked. It just transpired that the high street stalwart was looking for certain new functionality that was already in development here, namely an incredibly powerful promotions suite that would allow it to set up any conceivable promotion very very easily.

Moss needed the ability to exactly mirror in-store promotions online, plus the brief stressed a need to focus on results and integrate with their in-house stock system to provide a seamless multi-channel solution, in 2 distinct phases.

Timescale was extremely tight for Phase 1, but the respective teams worked tirelessly to launch successfully. Such was the trust in the ability of both Moss and Lost Ferret teams that it was decided to launch 2 days after Cyber Monday - a decision that paid off, positioning Moss nicely to capitalise on the busy period.

Even without marketing, like for like sales in 2010 are consistently up on last year, and Phase 2 involving an overhaul of warehousing and returns functionality will be beginning later this year.

The Officers Club came to Lost Ferret after a strong recommendation from another of our clients, Quiz Clothing, for whom we’d redesigned early in 2009. Quiz had seen a significant improvement in sales with Lost Ferret - around a 40% increase in conversion rate - and so felt that it would be a good idea for Officers Club to have a chat with us.

E-commerce had been very much secondary to the high street at Officers Club previously, with not a lot of effort being put into the online channel. The new e-commerce team had confidence in us to deliver and gave the Ferret team free rein to deliver a site to propel them to ‘online retailer’ status.

Aurora 2.0 has made it simple for the small team at Officers Club to manage the entire online channel seamlessly, with an integration into their custom stock system and the MetaPack delivery management system to ensure a complete warehouse to customer solution.
