Madd Gear (MGP) - Buying Advice

MADD was formed back in 2002 by Mike Horne. They have been at the forefront of the scooter scene with a growing international fan base. Due to increasing demand for MGP (Madd Gear Pro) products 2010 proved a busy year with MGP exploding into the UK.

Ideal for riders who wanting to perform tricks, stunts and jumps at the skate park, Madd Gear (MGP) is designed for extreme use. There's something for everyone aged 5 years and above. The Madd Gear Mini is perfect for young children who need a place to start. The MGP Beginner Pro is a modestly-priced scooter for older kids, moving on to the MGP Base Model and Team Edition, for more serious stunts and tricks.
Once you've made your mark and need something sturdier for more adventurous pursuits, the Nitro and Nitro Extreme are the heavy duty models to go for. All have one-piece decks and can tail whip 360 degrees.

Which one is right for me?

Madd Gear have created a wide range of options to choose from, each suited to different abilities and ages. Below you’ll find our recommendations to help you make the best choice.

• Younger children – the MGP Mini is designed for children wanting to learn tricks and get a feel for stunt scooters, built with some of the same features as the original base model.

• Entry level – just starting out and looking for a quality scooter, but at an more affordable price? The Beginner Pro, sometimes referred to as the Junior Pro is a perfect option for your kids to get out to the skate park with their friends or to simply practice freestyle stunts.

• Mid range – the MGP Pro base model is a great option from beginner to advanced. The Team Edition offers a great price as it comes with several upgraded components and is well worth the money.

• Experienced riders – The Nitro, Ninja and Nitro Extreme models can take just about anything you throw at them as they’re built with the pro rider in mind. Choose from any of the three models based on your preference and colour options available.

Ability and Age

All scooters from the MGP Pro through to the Nitro Extreme are suitable for any ability level.

Warranty Information

These scooters are designed for extreme use, but you will need to notify us of any major defects when you first receive your product. There is typically a 90 day warranty on parts, this does not cover normal wear and tear. Once a scooter has been used for jumps, tricks, stunts or use down a skate park the supplier will not usually replace the entire scooter. We will look at this on a case by case basis to determine the nature of defect or damage and make every effort to provide the best overall customer experience.
