The hard work has finally paid off for Darren Dyke and Kirsty Chick. After working hard and practicing relentlessly for over four years, they have won the senior dance title in Haywards Heath, Sussex, at the British Roller Skating Championships.

Dyke’s achievement is well deserved. The veteran has been in skating for the last 30 years. The win at the British Roller Skating Championships marks the pinnacle of his career. Dyke exclaimed that it was indeed a lifetime ambition and achievement, something that he had always strived for in the last 30 years that he was involved with the sport.

Dyke felt that his dream was slipping away from him during the last few years of his career due to lack of proper training times and the costs associated with it. Dyke had to bring over his coach to train and prepare for the event. With the win in hand, all this seems to be a distant worry now.

Dyke said that he and Kirsty were on top of the world after the spectacular win. They are extremely confident of performing well in the European Championships in September this year.

They are waiting for the feeling to sink in and have already started preparing for their next competition.
