Georgia Whelan travels the world and performs in front of sell-out crowds in beautiful costumes and amazing ice skating tricks. But now she has some other things on her mind. Georgia wants the ice rink back in Southampton.

The famous ice skater is just one amongst thousands of people who are campaigning for getting back the ice rink in Southampton. The people in Southampton are waiting endlessly for the ice rink to witness some of the spectacular ice skating shows that happen all around the globe.

The 22-year-old ice skater just came back from Rio de Janeiro after performing in the travelling ice show that attracts a lot of visitors. Georgia said that she would love to coach young children who are interested in ice-skating. She added that it would be great to have an ice skating rink in Southampton and expressed her support for the ongoing campaign by locals.

After her return from the travelling ice show, Georgia is coaching part time at the Ryde ice skating rink. This is the place where she had started to learn ice skating when she was five years old.

Georgia said that she would be the first one to apply for a coach’s position if the new rink arrived in Southampton.
