This year, the people of Lowestoft will get a unique gift for Christmas. The festive season will be fueled by a new ice rink in the town. The announcement about the new ice skating rink was made recently.

It was revealed by The Lowestoft Town Management Partnership that a synthetic ice rink “Magic Ice” was booked for the town centre from December 20 to December 22, a total of three days.

Business support officer of the partnership, Emma Jones, said that the ice rink would be located outside Woolworths and Sportsworld near the Christmas Tree. The partnership had considered other areas in the town but found them unsuitable for an ice rink. This area was most suitable for an ice rink as it had a very flat surface, which is essential for a rink.

With the children on their Christmas holidays, the partnership is very confident of attracting a lot of visitors to the ice rink. The ice rink is expected to give the Christmas celebrations a whole new dimension. Tickets will be made available soon for the locals and details will be provided shortly.
