Some facts to be kept in mind while rollerblading
July 7, 2008
Rollerblading is a good choice for all skaters, especially during the off or non-peak seasons.
There are many skaters who incorporate roller skates in their training for speed skating. Inline skates during off season are recommended for short as well as long track ice skaters. Inline skates help to build respiratory and cardio stamina required for long-distance racing.
On the other hand, rollerblading skaters tend to slow down because they strive for perfectionism in terms of technique. Usually, speed skates are lighter than inline skates. Therefore, the skaters who roller blade and then race on the ice feel more powerful and light with their speed skates.
Here are some tips from which you can avoid injuries while you are on roller blades:
•   You should wear the complete roller blades protective gear
•   Protective cover should include elbow pads, kneepads and wrist guards
•   Before you go on the road you should learn the rollerblading basics
•   You should have self control and also control over your speed
