Description & Features

The Retro Rio is one of the most well-known of the Rio Roller Classic Range! The name says it all. Rather like the classic 70’s running shoes the design of these skates is loved by many because they look like something ‘original’ and of course ‘retro’!

The SFR Rio Retro Roller Skates has been given a huge facelift, but they still using the breathable mesh material. The breathable mesh material which really keep your feet cool and dry while you skate. It has a retro look but uses modern quality materials.
 
The boot is a semi soft design with a solid exterior heel plate. The trucks are made from hi impact aluminium and the wheels are SFR 58mm. The Rio Retro Blue Skates are fitted with ABEC 7 bearings which are super smooth and will keep you at the disco until the early hours!

Quality skates that brought a smile to my daughter's face

Great for learners and wallet!

Bought for my 6yr old son last summer hols. He loves them; progressed well; co-ordination / confidence have soared. 7 now and looking to get another pair when these get too small. Fab sk8s!

Belly's glad I bought these!

I bought these after trying different types of exercise, and realising If I enjoy something I'll stick at it- It was very hard (youtube vids helped) but now my tummy is going down and my confidence up

Wheels and street skating

Are the wheels on these skates suitable for street skating? Or do I have to get different wheels?

Hi, I'd like to buy a pair of roller skates to start learning. I've never done inline before. What type would be the best to start: quads or inline? Are quads as good as inline for street (pavement)? Also, I'm size 5UK. Is it ideal to get a bigger size? Many thanks.

Quad skates are definitely a good choice for a beginner, just so that you can get to grips with the balance and technique of skating. Ideally you would want inlines for street skating, simply because they give you better maneuverability, however, you can use quad skates to develop your skill before moving onto inlines. With regards to sizing, it is best to get a size bigger and then a set of insoles to get a more comfortable fit as well as allowing for growth.
