Zoo York Skateboards was born in the 1970's out the New York Graffiti writing scene. It was lead by Mark 'Ali' Edmunds who started the crew known as "The Soul Artists of Zoo York", and over time became well respected for the design work and spray paint work whilst riding the hills on their skateboards.
In 1993, a new generation of riders had come along, with Rodney Smith, Eli Gesner and Adam Schatz launching the first brand to truly represent the New York City scene, and stand alongside all the other Californian brands out there! Their designs have become internationally respected and recognised, and now after 25 years they're bringing brand some of the OG designs and coming back to it's roots!
