Black Label Skateboards is a skateboarding company that was founded by its owner, John Lucero, back in 1990. The California based company name originally came from the Carling Black Label Beer name, and had a number of the sports biggest names ride for it's label over the years.
The found Lucero was originally a competing pro skateboards in the 80's, riding for well known brands such as Variflex and Madrid (which we also retail). He originally partnered with Santa Cruz to help launch Black Label, ensuring the quality of the boards were first class for riders. As Black Label developed he's created different divisions on the brand to appeal to different types of riders including the Label Legends and Emergency ranges.
The brand has a tag line "Never Be Bought, Never Be Sold, and Never Forget". Their Black Light model is a maximum strength, lightweight deck, coming with thick lamination, this enables both a thinner and stronger deck that industry standard decks. The decks are also specifically designs to minimize or remove completely wheel bit. Black Label also run a range of Powerbeam models, designed for power, they come with a laminated wooden core, with their decks structurally ending up stiffer and longer lasting as a result.
Black Label have over 20 years experience in the Skateboarding Industry, they know what they're doing and you can rely on their products.
