Goods & Services
Prices and availability of goods and services are subject to change and all prices include VAT.ﾠWhilst we try and ensure that all prices on Skates.co.uk are accurate sometimes errors do occur. If we discover an error we will inform you as soon as possible. We'll give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order if you do not wish to pay the difference. If you choose to cancel your order, and you have already paid for the goods or services, you will receive a full refund.
Please note that due to us being an online store, we can not guarantee that we will be able to make any amendments/cancellations to the order once it has been placed. If the wrong item has been ordered, you will need to return the items to us at your cost for an exchange or refund.
Ordered before 4pm?
If you've ordered before 4pm Monday-Friday, you should receive your order the next working day as long as the item is in stock and being delivered to a UK mainland address. Please note that this service is not guaranteed due to the possibility of unexpected delays during transit.
If the driver is unable to deliver the parcel, a card will be left advising you of the delivery attempt, along with further instructions regarding your delivery. Please note that whilst some couriers are happy to leave goods in a 'safe place' (garage, shed, porch etc.), they are not obligated to do so. If you have left a note on your door or otherwise instructed the driver to leave in a safeplace or with a neighbour then please be aware that we would not be responsible for loss of the parcel if this instruction was followed by the driver, as we provide a signature service.
If you have paid for delivery of a service to a specific time or date and we have dispatched it on time with the correct couriered service we unfortunately cannot be liable for the 3rd party couriers error and cannot promise to refund those costs.
In the unlikely event that an item is missing from an order or you have not received your order, we require contact within 14 days (UK Mainland) or 28 days (International) from when the order was placed. Please note that if the order is delivered to the wrong address due to you entering the incorrect details at checkout, this isn't something we are able to help with once the order has been delivered.
If your order has been marked as delivered but you have not received your parcel, you will need to email us to let us know.
Please do not refuse a delivery from the courier company. The cost involved in processing and returning the parcel is £15 and the customer will be charged this amount if delivery is refused.
Pre-orders are charged as soon as the order is placed. The estimated date of delivery will be shown on the add to basket button on the product page, aswell as your basket page before ordering. Please note that this date is advisory and is subject to change so is not a guaranteed date of delivery. This date is given to us by our supplier and is subject to delays outside of our control. If the delivery date for your pre-order has changed, this will be represented on the product page, so please continue to check the pre-order date once the order has been placed.
If there are other products on your order, these will be held until your pre-ordered item has arrived with us so they are dispatched together.
You are free to cancel your pre-order up until the point of dispatch.
To place an order for collection, simply select 'Collect In Store' on the basket page. Please note that we only have one collection point, based in Romsey, Hampshire.
Once the order is placed, we will email you to let you know that your order is ready for collection. Once this email is sent, we will hold the item for collection for 7 days. If you fail to collect within this 7 day period, the order will be refunded and the item will be added back to our regular stock.
We offer a 30-day returns period for unused goods starting from the day after delivery. In order for returns and exchanges to be accepted, the ordered items need to show no signs of having been worn. Items that are returned showing signs of use will be sent back to you without refund or exchange, unless they are proven to be faulty from the point of sale. The customer will be responsible for any return costs, however we do not impose a re-stocking charge.
If we have missed something or sent the wrong product, a claim must be made within 7 days of delivery. When a claim has been made, our customer service team will keep you up to date with the progress of your full and correct order. If the incorrect goods have been sent, we will require the return of the incorrect goods before dispatching the correct item(s).

We offer a 30 day warranty for most goods starting the day after delivery; so if you encounter any issue with your goods that you believe to be a manufacturing fault, please feel free to contact us. Please note that our warranty won't cover scooters subjected to extreme use.
If the goods supplied are proven to be faulty, we will do our best to replace the goods with the same or a similar item, fit for purpose. If for any reason we are unable to obtain the item(s) needed, a refund to the full amount of the product will be issued.
Skates.co.uk cannot replace or warranty any scooters used in extreme sports or at a skate park due to the nature of use they are put through.
If you have requested a refund and it's been confirmed by one of our customer service team as issued, please be aware that refunds can take up to 3 working days to appear in your account. If you've not received the funds after this time, please feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to look into it for you.
Custom & Pre Built Scooters and Longboard
Unfortunately we are unable to sell custom and pre built scooters and longboards to customers outside of the UK. Customers will be refunded promptly if they try to do this.
Please also be aware that we do not accept the return of Custom and Pre Built Scooters Longboards, unless there is a confirmed and genuine fault with a product or assembly. We also don't allow cancellations if the item has been built.
In some rare cases, international customers may have customs duty to pay on delivery. We try to avoid this where we can for customers, however the customer is liable for paying any customs tariffs in place for their country. Should the customer refuse to pay this, they will be liable for the postage costs spent to send the goods out and to get it returned. If you are having an issue with customs duty, Skates.co.uk will do all we can to help out and resolve the matter.
By purchasing with Skates.co.uk you agree to receive occasional newsletters and updates via email or SMS text messages. You can easy unsubscribe by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of any newsletter / update.
VAT Excluded Areas
Some customers purchase from VAT excluded areas of the United Kingdom or elsewhere worldwide, we do not offer any credit on VAT for these orders, we simply invoice out the amount without VAT in the total. Please be aware of this before placing your order.
Whilst we endeavor to ensure that all of the information displayed on the Skates.co.uk site is correct, we will not be liable for any damages arising from the use of/ inability to use/ or any action or decision made as a result of using the Skates.co.uk site and information the contained here.
To make this site function properly, we sometimes place small data files on your computer; these are known as cookies. This means that you don't have to keep re-entering your preferences whenever you come back to us.
