How much is delivery? And how long does it take to get to me?

For the UK we have 2 simple options:

2-3 Working Day Delivery - which is FREE for orders over £40 and £2.95 below this

OR

1-2 Working Day Delivery - which is a standard £3.95

Please note next working day delivery does not include Saturday/Sunday, however our couriers will often deliver on these days unofficially.

If you want same day dispatch we advise you to place your order before 1pm each working day where possible.

When goods are shipped internationally it is the responsibility of the purchaser to cover postage costs of the return even if the product is faulty.

My order has a faulty item, what do I do?

Firstly, if this has happened we want to help. We want you to be happy with everything you’ve received from us. 

Before contacting us, double check the manual or paperwork of the product to make sure the correct operation of it, and be sure it’s definitely a faulty issue.

If you’ve purchased a scooter from us that you have issues with please check our - Solving Scooter Problems page, this may help you significantly.

If so, please email us sales@skates.co.uk - title the email with your order number and stating faulty. If you want to help us sort it faster for you, PLEASE include sufficient photos and ideally a video and what’s happening so we can fully understand the issue. Please also include your contact number too so that if we need to clarify things further we can discuss it on the phone. Emails are usually answered within 2 working days (allow for weekends). 

Please  note if the product shows signs of use, we are obliged to replace or replace the item if covered under relevant warranty, a refund is only processed in very rare cases.

What if an item I've ordered is not in stock?

Firstly, it's rare this happens, around 0.5% of all orders, as our stock is live linked to our website. However in the rare circumstance this happens we will email you promptly to inform you and give you the option

We will contact by email and phone if needed, to make you aware, and either give you an updated delivery date or offer an alternative. Failing either of the above we are happy to offer a full refund. 

If you need to speak to us directly about an out of stock item, the best way is to email us on sales@skates.co.uk or via livechat on the website (provide us your order number) and we will do our best to sort this for you promptly.

I’ve received my order, but something is missing or has been sent incorrectly?

Firstly, we’d advise you to double check inside all the product boxes, as we sometimes include the smaller items or free items of the order inside the larger boxes to ensure goods aren’t damaged during delivery.

If this is still the case, please email sales@skates.co.uk, with your order number and explain this issue, a member of our team will get back to you to resolve within 2 working days, to address the issue. If you need a more urgent response, please message us via livechat on the website.

How can I get a price match on a product?

How do I make a purchase your website?

If you're not familiar to ordering online it can be intimidating, however if you follow the below steps you should be fine:

  1. Find the product you want to buy, click on the "add to basket" button
  2. Go to the basket (this will be shown in the pop out box), and double check you're happy with what you want, and select the "checkout" button
  3. Fill in the form shown and follow the steps shown
  4. Enter your card details or select paypal if you have a paypal account, and confirm your order.

Can you build me a custom scooter or skateboard?

We can advise (livechat is usually best for this) and guide you on what parts combine together to make great setups, however presently we don't offer a custom build service.

Can you cut Scooter bars down or add a slit for compression?

Firstly, there’s some great videos on youtube showing you how, 1 example we would recommend is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZKm7I4iw54 

Sadly we don’t in house cut the bars, because if cut, it invalidates the warranty of the product, meaning if they break or something goes wrong, we cannot cover you as they’ve been changed from their original manufactured design

Once the bars have been cut or altered in any way we will be unable to accept them as a return.
