SFR Helmets

Most SFR helmets are certified to CE EN 1078 and meet testing standards for skate, scooter and cycle helmets. This ensures they provide adequate protection against head injuries from falls and collisions.

SFR helmets come in sizes ranging from XXS to L. They use a dial-fit or adjustable strap system to fine-tune the fit. Always measure your head circumference just above your eyebrows and choose the corresponding size. Some models include extra padding inserts for fit adjustment.

Yes. SFR offers kid-friendly graphics with bright colours and characters to encourage children to wear helmets. These designs use the same protective materials as adult helmets but are sized and styled for kids.

Use the rear dial or slide mechanism to tighten the helmet until it sits snugly. Adjust the chin strap so it forms a V shape under the ears, and make sure the buckle sits centered under the chin with room to insert two fingers between the strap and skin.

Most SFR helmets include multiple vents on the top and sides to improve airflow and reduce heat buildup. The number of vents varies by model; premium helmets have more vents for better cooling.

Replace helmets after any significant impact or every five years, as EPS foam degrades over time. Even if a helmet looks intact after a fall, the protective material may have compressed and should be replaced.

Remove any removable padding and hand wash it in mild soap. Wipe the shell with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or submerge the helmet, as this can damage the foam.

You can add stickers or use water-based paint, but avoid using sprays or solvents that may compromise the helmet’s shell and safety standards.
