Heelys Shoes

Heelys are the original two-in-one roller shoes, designed for children of all ages. Heelys have wheels in their heel, allowing a wearer to walk, run or roll by shifting their weight to their heel. Check out our full range of Heelys Shoes Buying Guides. Heelys provide a huge amount of fun and can even be turned into normal shoes by removing the wheels. Heelys were first patented in 1999, and the company was founded in 2000, in Carrollton, Texas. At Skates.co.uk, we've been involved with Heelys since 2004, when the product was first released. Why buy Heelys Shoes?

A

Heelys are the original shoe with wheels, or roller shoes. These shoes feature one or two removable wheels in the sole, allowing the wearer to switch between walking and rolling by shifting their weight towards the heel.

A

Everyone! Heelys are especially popular with younger boys and girls, but they're also popular with adults! With a variety of models ranging from subtle, classic designs to collaborations with some of the biggest franchises on the planet, such as Minecraft and Hello Kitty, there's a Heely for everybody!

A

Heelys can be used as an everyday shoe, or as a hybrid between shoes and skates. To start rolling, use your Heelys tool to pop out the sole saver, and set or align the wheel into the 'bracket' as well as you can. Make a fist or open your palm and hit the wheel to fully set the axles into the bracket. Visually inspect the wheel and give it a test spin to make sure the wheels spin freely, then while wearing the shoes, just stomp down to make sure they're locked in place securely.

Once installed, it's time to Heely!

Start on a smooth, flat surface with your feet shoulder-width apart. Take a step, push with your back foot and lift the toes of your front foot so only the wheel is touching the floor. Now do the same with your back foot, and you should be rolling!

To stop, simply lift the toes of both feet so your heels touch the floor.

Heelys tend to fit true to your regular shoe size, or slightly smaller. If you're between sizes, we recommend going for the larger of the two.

The exception to this is the Classic range, which fits slightly larger than other models.

Most Heelys come with a tool and plug(s) in the box, with the exceptions being the Classic X2 and Snazzy X2 models.
