The Tony Hawk 540 Series Smash Complete Skateboard sits above the 180 in the range, and the upgrades are the ones that actually matter once you are past the very beginning. You get ABEC 5 bearings instead of ABEC 3, harder 99A wheels in a larger 54mm size, and firmer bushings, all of which add up to a board that holds its speed better and feels more controlled at pace.
This Smash graphic comes on a 7.75 inch by 31 inch deck, which is the classic all round size for street and park. The 7-ply hardrock maple construction gives it proper pop, and the full OS780 grip tape covers the whole top so your feet stay locked in.
It arrives fully assembled and ready to skate. A good step up for anyone who has learned the basics on a starter complete and is starting to feel held back by it.

Things to consider when buying a Skateboard:
As there is such a wide range of Skateboards available, there's some importantﾠthings to keep in mind when choosing yours:
- Moneyﾠ- You don't want to spend more than is necessary, however the qualityﾠof a product can be discerned by the cost. The higher the cost, the better qualityﾠyou are likely to get.
- Skill Levelﾠ- Practically all models are suitable for beginners, but for more experienced riders, you would get theﾠmost out of purchasingﾠhigher-end parts. More expensive parts tend to be made from stronger, lighter materials.
- Ageﾠ- If the skates are for a child it may be worth taking a look atﾠsome of the smaller boards we have to offer. Make sure you purchase a board with a smaller deck as smaller kids will struggle with a larger, wider skateboard.
- Complete or Custom - It's possible to purchase a complete skateboard or the parts separately. It's generally cheaper to purchase a complete board however custom set-ups are the perfect option for more experienced riders or beginners who want a really unique board.

We have a simple 30 days upon receiving the order policy, but we will be flexible and extend this if it's a gift for a specific event, such a a birthday, this can be done by simply ticking the the gift option when purchasing.
We provide a part filled returns form for all UK orders, all you need to do to start the process is to drop us a quick email to support@skates.co.uk with your order details alongside the reason for return and we can get the ball rolling!
