8 years after inventing the world's first and best Standard Compression System (SCS), PROTO is proud to introduce the next generation of SCS. The Sentinel SCS is the most technically advanced Standard Compression System ever created. Coming in at 3.5" tall, it offers a full 2" of handlebar support to accommodate the taller bars we are seeing become more prominent which is over 30% more support than a 3" SCS.
It also features larger 8mm bolts with 6mm Allen drives and an offset slot providing 25% more threads for the new larger hardware to tighten into allowing for increased torque and decreased chance of stripping giving it the ability to stay tighter, longer than any other SCS on the market.
To top it off, despite being half an inch taller, increased weight was not an issue with its tapered top and base and two cutouts that removed unnecessary material and weight. There is also a brand-new feature called the Spreader-Bolt which can be used opposite of the 4 main clamp bolts to open the clamp for easy installation and removal, eliminating the need for the "penny trick". The SCS™ logo is placed symbolically as the “third-eye” of the Sentinel in the center of a crown of thorns representing enlightenment and salvation from the ways of the past and guarding the future of scooter design.

Collar Clamps - Buying Advice
Skates.co.uk has the parts you need to replace or upgrade your existing clamp. Don't worry if your kids scooter isn't the same brand as the accessory you wish to purchase. Simply ensure that the clamp you purchase is the correct width for your current handlebars. Feel free to give us a call or send an e-mail for advice on whether the part you're interested in is suitable for your scooter.
Which one is right for me?
There are a wide range of collar clamps available, here are some important things to keep in mind when choosing yours.
- Money - You don't want to spend more than is necessary, however the quality of a product can be discerned by the cost. The higher the cost, the better quality you are likely to get.
- Skill Level - All are suitable for beginners and recreational riders, but for anyone more experienced in extreme sports or park riding, you would get the most out of purchasing a higher end triple or quad clamp
- Size - There are several different widths of collar clamps, each designed to fit a certain width of bar. Higher end bars tend to made of higher quality metals such as aluminium or chromoly as these metals are stronger and lighter. As such the correct clamp will be slightly thinner. Before purchasing an replacement clamp it's really important to first check the diameter of your handlebars. If you've fitted a HIC compression kit you'll also require HIC-compatible bars. ﾠ
- Shimﾖ Some clamps will come with an optional shim which acts as a spacer if the clamp is slightly too wide.
- Single, Double, Triple or Quad A clamp with one screw is referred to as a single clamp. Likewise a clamp with 4 screws would be a quad clamp. Longer clamps with more screws are better as they spread the pressure put on the clamp and bars when performing tricks. If you're regularly attempting jumps or tricks it's worth getting a triple or quad clamp as it'll alleviate some of the pressure put on your scooter and reduce the risk of your bars shearing..

We have a simple 30 days (can be extended) upon receiving the order policy, but we will be flexible and extend this if it's a gift for a specific event, such a a birthday, this can be done by simply ticking the the gift option when purchasing.
